The challenge
The business inherited a broken remote-access setup. A prior provider had left it in pieces, with the key material gone and remote users unable to reliably connect to the systems they needed to do their jobs.
There was no clean way to rebuild on what was left. The old setup was a black box nobody could safely extend, so the only honest path forward was to rebuild it properly.
What we did
- 01
Rebuilt the PKI from scratch
We stood up a fresh certificate authority and issued new keys, so the trust behind the whole system was clean and ours to manage.
- 02
Stood up a hardened VPN
We built a hardened site-to-mobile VPN so remote users connect securely back to internal systems over an encrypted tunnel.
- 03
Repointed and rolled it out
We repointed every dependent application to the new tunnel and rolled the setup out across the remote fleet.
The outcome
Reliable, secure remote connectivity was restored end to end, with remote users able to reach the systems they need without fighting the connection.
It runs on infrastructure that is documented and maintainable now, not a black box that only works until it does not.
